I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1981 and raised in Hollywood, Florida. I lived with my mother for most of my adolescent to young adult life, as my parents were divorced. My father is half Seminole Indian and my mother is Caucasian so I grew up with both family roots. I had a decent childhood and did well in school. In early high school I injured my hip which changed a lot of things for me, I was laid up for about 6 months and I got behind in school enough that when I went back I couldn’t catch up. With no other alternatives in mind, I began to work with my step-dad and my uncle, who is Henry Sam Nelson also a member of the Seminole Tribe! I apprenticed doing fencing for about 2 years, but always dreamed of something more! Upon turning 18, I began to experience some changes in my life. I began spending time with a different group of friends, most were older than I was. I began to party as if I were in college, and soon after things started to get out of control. I started down a long road of self destruction which lasted up to age 25, upon which I made a decision to move away from Hollywood and the Reservation. I moved to a small town in North Central Florida called Clermont. I got my own apartment and started to take on some responsibilities. Paying my own bills and doing things on my own was not easy for me at first, but I managed to pull through. Now living in my own apartment and doing good, the party life soon called me back. Once again I made some poor decisions and started to associate with the wrong crowd. I knew that if I didn’t quit this vicious cycle I wasn’t going to make it long, I started to go back to my roots and use music as a release, polishing my singing style, but never knowing that it would go anywhere! I always dreamed of being a country music star, but at that time I did not have any direction.

In October of 2006, I met my wife and her two beautiful children, and things began to change. Having her and her kids in my life was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. They pulled me away from all the drugs and alcohol and showed me that there was life outside of partying. I saw that with the right direction and support I could do anything I wanted in life. Although I still stumbled a bit on the way, I managed to form a relationship and a family, which was a completely new experience for me. Things began to get much better for me, my singing became more important than it had been. In September of 2007, I got news that I was going to be a daddy. Being alcohol and substance free for a year, not only did I find out there was a better way of living, I was proof of it. My wife and I married on November 17, 2007, I was living my dreams. Dealing with inner demons without the aid of drugs and alcohol was very tough at times. As the days went by it became easier, I was looking forward to my son entering this world. We began the process of purchasing our first home. There was a lot of turmoil at the time trying to get everything done, the pregnancy, buying a house, and working on my singing career. Our plate was full! In December 2007, I entered into the Seminole Star Search Contest! I auditioned in Hollywood and was picked as a finalist. In that time I was traveling back and forth trying to make the transition from singing karaoke in bars to singing on stage with a live band. It was rough on everyone but I managed to keep it together! With my wife’s support, I went to the Seminole Star Search finale and I gave it my all, the judges gave praise, and I was excited! When it came down to the results, I was chosen as a spotlight award winner. Through all the chaos, my son was born on May 8, 2008, making me the proudest father in the world! As if that wasn’t enough, I received a call from director of promotions, Micki Free, informing me that they had decided to give me the opportunity to be a Grand Prize Winner. One of my responsibilities as such, was to record three tracks on an album that would be sold in all Hard Rock Cafes around the world. Being a Son Of The a South, my first pick was an obvious choice for me, "Man Of Steel" by Hank Williams Jr. My second choice was "The Ride", by David Allan Coe, which is a great song about Hank Williams Sr.! I wanted to show versatility, so for my last song, I searched for a newer artist that I thought would represent who I am and what I believe to be country music. I came across a new artist, Jamey Johnson, who recently released a song called "That Lonesome Song" and low and behold it was a masterpiece! At the end of 2008, it was time to lay down the vocal's at Debonaire Studio's in Sunrise, Florida with the help of Native American recording artist and five time Native American award winner Micki Free. On hand to lay down some killer background vocals was Cherokee Rising Star vocalist Shea Keck. The album is set for release in Feb 2009. I am looking forward to the new year, not only for the album release but we are also expecting another baby, due in June 2009. So I have a very busy year ahead of me and I look forward to all the new experiences to come. My life has become exactly what I always hoped it would be!
